or not与whether的区别？
区别在于：第一个没有省略，第二个省略了or not；
注意：当whether引导宾语从句，表示“是否”意思的时候，or not省略的时候，可以换成if。
either or和whether or的区别？
whether...or和either...or的区别为：意思不同、用法不同、侧重点不同。
一、意思不同
1、whether...or：是…还是…，或者…或者…。
2、either...or：不是……就是，或者...或者...，非此即彼，要么...要么，两者择一。
二、用法不同
1、whether...or：whether用作连词，意思是“是否，是不是”，可引导名词从句或动词不定式短语。whether还可引导让步状语从句，意思是“不管，无论”，从句中通常用一般现代时代替将来时。
2、either...or：either作代词时，意为“(二者之中)任何一个”，在句中作主语或宾语，表示单数概念，作主语时谓语动词一般用单数形式，但在否定句中常用复数形式。either可单独用，也可和of连用，of后跟复数名词或复数代词，但意义明确时可省略of短语。
三、侧重点不同
1、whether...or：这里or的前后具有相反的含义。
2、either...or：这里or的前后类似同位语
whether引导从句能省主语吗？
引导从句时若主语和主句主语一致，并且含有be的某种形式，可以省略从句主语。
be it 放句首意思和用法？
Be it 是谓语提前的倒装用法．
it 是形式主语. 这里不指代具体某个词, 某件事．
这里 Be it 可译为: (正)是(由于, 因为)
如：
Be it a blessing or curse, you cant beat fate.
这里就用到了我们讲过的be it开头的倒装句。
这里be it 实际是whether it be 的省略，还原回来是：
Whether it be a blessing or a curse 无论它是福，还是祸。
注意这里用be是一种虚拟语气，还原成whether引导的让步状语从句，还是应当用be。
再如：
The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid.
一个人，不论男女，要是对一本优秀的小说都没有兴趣，那么他/她一定蠢笨得让人难以忍受。
根据指代的不同，it可以换成they。
例：
